    It is a quantitative study, descriptive, epidemiological on smoking in the inhabitants of the San Sebastian parish. It was chosen as study universe all the inhabitants of the parish (population); 1of families as shown in the prior drawing of homes. The objectives were to determine the relationship between smoking and socioeconomic, cultural conditions in the parish, identify the degree of association between smoking and poverty, and to establish the risks, social, family and psychological by cigarette smoking. The variables we work with were: age, sex, marital status, religion, occupation, characteristics related to cigarette smoking as smoking, smoking, smoking, costs. Data were collected through anonymous surveys, which were tabulated using computer programs such as Epi-Info and Excel. Upon completion of this work showed that the respondents 71DE has this habit of smoking, most correspond to low conglomerate, this habit was higher in males.
