Item Factores que influyen en la cobertura del programa de detección oportuna del cáncer cervicouterino en mujeres de edad fértil que acuden al Subcentro de Salud El Valle, Cuenca 2017(2018) Guzmán Sagbay, Nohemí Catalina; Rojas Fajardo, Miryam Marlene; Cabrera Cárdenas, Carmen LucíaBackground: The timely detection of cervical cancer is considered an essential mechanism in the prevention and timely care of cervical cancer, being a public health problem due to the high prevalence and mortality rates recorded (1). In Ecuador, in 2012, cervical cancer had an incidence of 2,094 cases and a mortality of 1,026 women, ranking as the second most prevalent cancer in the female population (2). Objective: To identify the factors that influence the coverage of the program "timely detection of cervical cancer" in women of child-bearing age in the El Valle Health Sub-center, Cuenca 2017. Methods and techniques: Quantitative research, descriptive and cross-sectional study, the universe of 4,433 women, the sample of 354 women and 15 members of the health team of the operative unit. The techniques used were the survey, the instrument the form. Results: The coverage of the program is 64.4%, (2,855 women), leaving 35.6% of the population without coverage. The level of satisfaction was 76.4%; 33.6% indicate that they do not use the service due to factors such as: fear, obligation to access other programs (family planning); The factors that they do not access are: lack of time, lack of privacy, mistreatment of staff, late results. Conclusions: The coverage levels of the program depend on the personal relationship of health - users, the level of knowledge, socialization and education about the program
