Item El rol del periodismo científico y el manejo de la información en la revista Vistazo sobre la vacuna de Pfizer, entre los meses marzo y diciembre del 2020(Universidad de Cuenca, 2024-04-11) Rojas Bernal, Kessia Nataly; Gárate Andrade, Wilson OrlandoThe arrival of the coronavirus generated many challenges in the country in different social, economic, political and health areas. Thus, it is very important for the population to obtain truthful and contrasted information due to the bombardment of information that began to circulate, being this moment a new opportunity for journalism, where it took an important role in the life of the population to be sure that the information, they had was the right one. The degree work is a documentary and bibliographical analysis on scientific journalism, the Covid-19 pandemic and coverage of the Vistazo journal, during the months of March to December 2020; this being the first year of the health emergency where the uncertainty of what was going to happen in the future and the measures that were being taken in consequence of the catastrophe. The aim is to present the importance of scientific journalism in society, since this was responsible for the dissemination in the health crisis, in addition to presenting the new concepts that were implemented as information and disinformation. Collect chronologically the advance of the Covid-19 virus and the vaccine to combat the virus focused on the coverage of the pandemic panorama by Vistazo journal, the pandemic resulted in a new wave for the expansion of journalism into the digital age in a historic moment where coverage was under pressure and full of learning.
