Objectives: To determine the prevalence of ED and associated factors in patients attending the Specialized Center for the Treatment of People with Problematic Alcohol and Drug Use, "La Gracia de Dios," in the Tenguel parish of Guayaquil city. Methodology: A quantitative, analytical, cross-sectional approach was employed. The entire population (80 individuals) was included, and data collection utilized the Erectile Dysfunction Questionnaire (IIEF-5), Beck Depression Inventory-II (BDI-II), and Beck Anxiety Inventory (BAI). Results: The majority of participants were young adults, unmarried; a significant proportion (66.3%) presented with ED, with 21.3% classified as severe and 15% as moderate. Statistically significant associations were found between ED and age (p=0.04), diabetes (p=0.02), hypertension (p=0.00), and anxiety (p<0.001), but not with depression (p=0.16). Conclusions: ED is more common among individuals aged 20 to 39 years, and among singles; there is a high prevalence of severe ED. Risk factors such as diabetes, hypertension, and anxiety increase the likelihood of developing ED. Depression does not exhibit a significant association.Item Percepción de la imagen corporal y satisfacción sexual en mujeres que practican pole dance en el Centro Ávila Pole Sport, Quito- Ecuador, en el periodo 2022-2023(Universidad de Cuenca, 2024-05-27) Quiroga Ortiz, Gabriela Belen; Rodas Vanegas, María JoséBackground: the perception that women feel regarding their body can affect their self-esteem and also their sexual satisfaction.
