Item Características de depresión en la población LGBTI de la ciudad de Cuenca. 2017(Universidad de Cuenca, 2018-12) Defas Sani, Valeria Fernanda; Ormaza Larriva, Daniela Betsabe; Rodas Mosquera, Juan Enrique; Mosquera Vallejo, Lorena ElizabethIntroduction: The World Health Organization (WHO) states that more than 300 million people in the world live with depression, being the main cause of health problems and disability. Objective: To determine the characteristics of depression in the LGBTI population of the city of Cuenca. 2017. Method: It is a descriptive study made in 93 people identified within the LGBTI population of the city of Cuenca. The Hamilton Test was applied to assess depression and a survey to state the demographic characteristics of the population. Microsoft Excel 2016 and IBM SPSS Stadistics version 21 were used to process the information, and as statistical measures frequencies and percentages were used.. Results: The 59.14% reported that they are men according to their biological sex, a 39.79% are women and 1.07% are intersexual, the most frequent age group was between 18 and 27 years with 79.56%, sexual orientation The most representative were homosexuals with 68.9%, in the variable of sexual identity the cisgender occupied 90.32%. Something important is that 64.6% present some degree of depression, 19.4% present moderate and severe depression, 10.8% present very severe depression. A 71% have suffered homophobia and discrimination, 30.1% have been victims of violence and 73.1% have suffered harassment because of their orientation sexual identity. Finally the 23.7% try suicide. Conclusion: More than half of the studied population has some degree of depression highlighting that 10.8% present very severe depression.Item Características del Ciberbullying en los estudiantes de la Unidad Educativa César Dávila Andrade. The internet and mobile phones have become prime instruments for training, development, socialization and fun; however, sometimes they may not make good use of technology and rather some adolescents with an aggressive personality use these means to disrupt their peers and make new forms of bullying. Objective: To determine the characteristics of cyberbullying among students of “César Dávila Andrade” High School. Methodology: A quantitative descriptive study was made. The universe was conformed by the all students of the basic cycle, who were applied a modified form of the Protocol Acting School to cyberbullying from the MRTC (Multidisciplinary Research Team for Cyberbullying); for tabulation and information processing, the SPSS program, version 15 was used; as statistical measures some frequencies, averages, and percentages were used; and for the presentation of data, tables according to the objectives were drawn up, and finally for the information analysis, a descriptive statistics was used. Results: The cyberbullying occurs in 11% of the students: 9.5% in males and 15% in females; the most used media to bully are the social networks with 52%, followed by 21.7% mobile messaging; within academic consequences 34.2% have no desire to go to school, 47.4% have lowered their grades; in relation to family problems 42% have problems with their parents and siblings and according to psychological problems about 40% feel depressed and third of the victims of cyberbullying declare: “believe it is better disappear.” CONCLUSIONS: Cyberbullying cases were detected predominantly in females which shows a gender componentItem “Características del ciberbullying en los estudiantes de la Unidad Educativa César Dávila Andrade. Internet and phones are actually first order items at these days for preparation, developing, socialize and even for fun. But sometimes this great world of technology, can be used for teasing and annoy people by aggressive young kids, in other words, a new way of bullying. TARGET: Determine the characteristics of cyber bullying from the students of “CESAR DÁVILA HIGH SCHOOOL” METHODOLOGY: We did a descriptive quantitative study; the universe were the students of elementary school, to whom we applied a formulary modify of the protocol of scholar response against cyber bullying by EMICI (multidiscipline equipment of research for cyber bulling); for tabulation and to process the information we used a SPSS 15th version program; as statistics measures we used: frequency, media and percentages; for the presentation of data we made tables based on the targets; and for the analysis of information we used descriptive statistics. RESULTS: Cyber bullying presents on 11% of the students, 9.5% in males and 15% in females, the most common media to stalk are the social networks and the second one is text messaging. About the consequences: the 46% manifest low academy developing, 42% family and friends issues inside psychological problems, the 40 % feel depress and the third part of the victims feel that “it´s better to go away”. CONCLUTIONS: We detected cases of cyber bullying with female sex as the most common one, so we can say that here´s a gender problem. A case of a 15-years-old ado-lescent, who is resident of the Community Dos Ríos located on the Taisha Canton, was described. The patient presented ulcerated lesions, confir-ming the diagnosis of Cutaneous Leishmaniasis through the histological study of the lesions, and starting intramuscular treatment with pentavalent antimony salts observing healing with a progressive and gradual resolution of the lesions and emphasizing the importance of early diagnosis, supervi-sed treatment, and monitoring to prevent complications.Item Problemas de conducta en pacientes del área de Pediatría del Hospital Vicente Corral Moscoso(Universidad de Cuenca, 2023-03-17) Rodas Mosquera, Juan Enrique; Huiracocha Tutivén, María de LourdesChild and adolescent mental health are a public health priority, therefore, it is important to know the different problems as early as possible to avoid complications. Objective: To identify behavioral problems in patients aged 2 to 15 years hospitalized in the pediatric department of the Hospital Vicente Corral Moscoso. Cuenca Ecuador 2021. Methods: a mixed study was conducted under observational and descriptive cross-sectional analysis. The sample consisted of 201 patients who met the inclusion criteria. A form on patient demographic characteristics and the Eyberg Inventory were used to collect the information applied to parents or guardians, prior to the signing of the informed consent. Data were tabulated in the program SPSS 25 version, the descriptive statistics were used to analyze the information, based on frequencies and percentages, presenting the results in charts. Results: 11.9% have behavioral alteration, 39.8% are at risk and 48.3% are normal. Of those who have behavioral alteration, 66.6% are adolescents between 10 and 15 years old, there is no difference in relation to sex; the majority (75%) are from urban areas; 50% are in upper school, about 30% are children of unemployed parents and according to the category assessed, 75% have anxiety, 20.84% aggression and 4.8% attention deficit. Conclusions: More a than half have behavioral problems. Anxiety occurs in three out of four patients
