Item Anteproyecto para el Centro de Internamiento de Adolescentes Varones Infractores de Cuenca(2008) Quezada Larriva, Adriana Eulalia; Rodas Espinoza, Paula Francisca; Sigüenza Alvear, JaimeItem Modelo de gestión para la conservación del patrimonio edificado de la ciudad de Cuenca(2016-10-28) Rodas Espinoza, Paula Francisca; Jaramillo Paredes, Diego EstebanSince 1979, Ecuador has specific legislation for the protection and safeguarding of its heritage. However, 37 years have passed without this legislation have been revised or updated, which has greatly difficult conservation, especially in regard to build herita-ge. In the case of Cuenca, a deficiency of an adequate legal framework and the high demand for land use has caused serious losses -in some cases irreversibles- for the cultural heritage of the city. While there have been initiatives by the local government for the protection of historical and heritage areas -Heritage of Ecuador since 1982 and World Heritage Site by UNESCO since 1999- they have not given the expected results, among which is the absence of appropriate management tools. The following research aims, based on a theoretical analysis of the current state of heritage ma-nagement in Cuenca, the approach of a management model for the Conservation of Built Heritage in our city, identifying the actors involved in this work, while stating the activities that each of these must develop in order to build policies and participatory conservation strategies that contribute to the protection of our cultural heritage for the enjoyment and social use of present and future generations.Item Transformación de las edificaciones patrimoniales en las áreas rurales del cantón Cuenca a partir de un análisis de la actualización de los inventarios de 1988(Proyecto vlirCPM, 2015) Barsallo Chavez, Maria GabrielaThe canton Cuenca has a great wealth in terms of built heritage. Among the most important architectural typologies is traditional architecture, which is characterized by the use of materials such as earth, wood and tile. In its rural territories, a large part of this heritage can be observed, however, the accelerated and unplanned growth of these territories, added to the migration of its inhabitants, have made them temporary places of visit or simply a state of abandonment. In this context, the problem also focuses on the lack of knowledge and valuation of heritage assets, which, added to the false idea of progress that the migration phenomenon has introduced - since it is associated with traditional architecture with a bad quality of life- has resulted in serious losses to the rural built heritage, this being replaced by constructions that are not related to the local natural and architectural context. In this context, in 2014 the National Institute of Cultural Heritage launched a project to update the inventory of real estate assets in the region, resulting in a quantitative, qualitative and comparative analysis of the inventory in 1988 and the current state, where a high percentage of loss of heritage values was observed and with it, the need to spread to society about the importance of what the conservation of our cultural heritage represents. With the above, the objective of this research will be aimed at carrying out an analysis of the transformation of heritage buildings in rural areas as a product of the aforementioned problem, so that, from the public institutions managing the heritage, policies aimed at determining to the management and conservation of our built heritage.
