As there is no specific study of public relations in the city of Cuenca, its implementation, action, field development, we proceeded to conduct an observation of the way they are handled public relations in our city, drawing shows four institutions, two public that were the Provincial Government of Azuay and Zonal Coordination of Education and two private: the South Central Regional Electricity Company and the Chamber of Commerce of the city of Cuenca. In the area of field research, we integrate in the departments of Communication and Public Relations of the organizations selected for three weeks each, gathering information focused on their activities, the objectives they pursue and how often which develop , in addition to recognizing the dominant ideology , ethics with which the professional performs. Of all observed and evaluated by the research process , it has been seen that the PR in the City of Cuenca are having a wonderful topping, as most companies and public and private entities come to this science as critical to the proper performance of its processes and the place of the Public Relations Department , is among the highest . The investigation determined that departments are comprised of professionals in the industry, which many times applied public relations in a negative way.
