    Disfuncionalidad familiar y su relación con la depresión en los adolescentes del ciclo diversificado en la Unidad Educativa Herlinda Toral. Cuenca 2014

    Background: Family dysfunction influences the presence of depression in adolescence. Depression in adolescence is more common in patients from dysfunctional families than in those with clear family boundaries, why this research is focused on finding statistics to determine its relationship with depression in adolescents, this also being apathology very common in our environment and that is affecting the population. Objective: The study focuses on the relationship between family dysfunction and depression in adolescents was conducted in a sample of 200 adolescents, aged 14 to 18 years, of both sexes attending High School HerlindaToral Determine the family dysfunction and its relationship to depression in adolescent’s diversified Herlinda Toral Education Unit cycle. Cuenca 2014 Materials and methods: The following research is descriptive quantitative type. We worked with a finite universe with a sampling frame for selection, as therefore the technique of individual interview was used by means of the following instruments, forms, family Apgar and Hamilton test data were processed through SPSS 15.0 and Excel 2010, which were processed in simple tables analyzed with descriptive statistics. Expected Results: It was found that in adolescents who participated in the study 48.5% present relationship between family dysfunction and depression, 50% of adolescents have family dysfunction between the ages of 14 -16 years, 65.5 % female presented family dysfunction, 43.5% among 14-16 years had depression and 60% female present depression in the Educational Unit "Herlinda Toral".
