    Action research as a strategy to improve educational practice in the school classroom is fundamentally a compilation and analysis of bibliographic information regarding action research, as a modality of qualitative research that allows the teacher to improve their teaching practices from processes Reflection and action based on the diversity of educational experiences that occur in educational spaces. The orientations, stages and the reflexive critical nature of action research constitute a close relation with the approaches of constructivist and critical pedagogy that at present represent the pillars of education. The research action understood and applied in an education based on constructivism and critical theory, represents a useful and accessible tool for teachers who seek to strengthen their teaching practice with research, through basic processes of reflection-action- Reflection are the stages of action research, which articulate to the daily tasks of the educator allow the educator to understand the reality where the learnings develop, to know their students better and to recognize their ways of teaching, to strengthen them, to improve or change them, in order That it is possible to establish teaching and learning processes in spaces that help people in the development of their critical thinking, adequate participation and the permanent improvement of their education.
