Item Autopercepción de competencia digital en docentes de la Unidad Educativa Sígsig-Azuay, período 2021(Universidad de Cuenca, 2021-11-11) Marca Llanos, Abigail Daniela; Rivera Heras, Rene Xavier; Tacuri Reino, René DavidThe digital competence of teachers is the mobilization of skills and abilities for the search, selection, management and distribution of relevant information in the virtual environment. To assess the above, this study focused on self-perception, defined as the organized and dynamic set of assessments and attitudes that a person has in relation to himself/herself and his/her environment. Therefore, the general objective was to describe the self-perception of digital competence of teachers of an educational unit of the Sígsig canton. The study maintained a quantitative approach, with a nonexperimental, cross-sectional and descriptive design. The participants were 51 teachers, who responded to the Self-perception of Digital Competence of Teachers (ACDD) instrument and a sociodemographic form to explore variables such as: age, sex, level of academic education and work experience. The results showed that the self-perception of teaching digital competence is considered to be a quite capable. Also, a statistically significant difference was observed, with men having a higher mean than women in the dimensions of students learning and creativity and learning experiences and evaluations typical of the digital era. Finally, this study concluded that the teachers of the Educational Unit Sígsig perceive themselves as quite capable in reference to digital competence.
