This research aimed to analyze the role that the family plays in the post-treatment process of users in a situation of consumption. To achieve this objective, the following research questions were asked: What is the role of the family in the post-treatment process for the recovery of the consumer user in the Center for Rehabilitation for Addicted Adults and Integral Treatment in mental and physical health, period 2022-2023? And how does the accompaniment and support of the family during and aftertreatment influence the recovery process of the consumer user? To obtain this information, the interview technique was applied, based on a semi-structured question guide, which allowed us to know the perceptions of users in relation to their individual and family experience within the Rehabilitation Center. The study used a qualitative approach, a type of phenomenological design and descriptive-interpretative scope. The sample studied was made up of 8 adult users between the ages of 18 and 40, graduates of the rehabilitation center. The results obtained showed that the accompaniment that the family provides to the user who has problems with the consumption of substances, plays a fundamental role within the context of addictions and family reintegration.
