    Ecosistema de los emprendimientos comunitarios en la provincia del Azuay

    The following report presents the results from an analysis of the problems related to entrepreneurship ecosystems in Ecuador. The main objective was to determine entrepreneurial ecosystem’s characteristics that have taken place in Azuay province during the last 5 years. To accomplish this objective, a qualitative study was designed: first, it was applied an bibliographical analysis; second, it was designed an evaluative phase which included data collection using semi-structured interviews and focus groups. The interviews were applied to 12 community enterprises in Azuay province with the purpose of diagnosing the potentialities and interinstitutional failures of the entities that are part of entrepreneurial ecosystem. Finally, it was possible to determine that financial, regulatory and research institutions are important pillars for entrepreneurial initiatives, as well as it was possible to diagnose which are the most relevant motivations and difficulties of entrepreneurship dynamics.
