Conocimientos, actitudes y prácticas frente al juego en los padres de familia de la escuela República de Chile, agosto1999 - enero 2000(2001) Peñafiel Tapia, Lilian Guadalupe; Pichisaca Acero, María Ascención; Regalado Robles, Bertha Marina; Sánchez Cuenca, Dorian Enrique; Cabrera Cárdenas, Carmen Lucía; García Alvear, Jorge LuisIn this study the knowledge, attitudes and practices of recreation and games in 100 parents of the Republic of Chile School is determined, in the city of Cuenca, and January 2000 during the period of August 1999 was established that the 79 percent of parents believe that the game is a form of recreation and entertainment, 68 percent is a way to take responsibility and 21 percent a way to waste time. Regarding the attitude of parents contributes 47 percent, 18 percent and educates 10 percent stimulates game. Regarding the age of the parents, it was found that most are around the third and fourth decade of life, with mothers who spend the most time with their children and parents working conditions have less time to spend with their children, yet 50 percent of parents, shared for 5-9 hours with their children. Finally it was established that the children learned the games at home, the parents and siblings who must be taught the games because it is the family, the first environment in which they operate infants
