This proposal seeks to generate a comprehensive campaign that reactivates the neighborhoods artistically and economically, through visual signs that communicate, disseminate and convene the different actors in the city of Cuenca. For this, different graphic pieces are created that manifest the identity of the neighborhoods in order to recall in the collective unconscious the stories, activities and traditions, creating discussions regarding the importance of preserving these authentic manifestations of the neighborhoods. The Visual identity of the Festival of Reactivation of Memories, is consolidated as a strategy of integral communication where the creation of activities that unify the neighborhoods and make visible the intangible potential of the neighborhoods and its inhabitants is proposed.Item Creación de un sistema gráfico para aplicar sobre autos basado en la iconografía de la cultura Jama Coaque(2015) Gualpa Cedillo, María Estefania; Ramos Balarezo, PabloThe present thesis is oriented to a graphic design system to the customization of vehicles, being that a relatively new expression that about seven years ago has been expanded in Ecuador. To demonstrate that a new form of cultural expression exists to show a new life style, for the fans of this wave. The purpose of the personalization of automobiles is to satisfy the owner visually or audibly. However this tendence is product of a cultural syncretism influenced by globalization that has become a foreign esthetic. What this project pretends to be is to make design a thread conductor to generate graphics, taking as a base the iconography of the Jama Coaque culture (Ecuador) and mix it with a geometrical illustrative and conceptual style, making it a mean to establish the sense of belonging to the Tuning movement, and come up with an esthetical option in the market, I denoted an exclusive Ecuadorian graphic that transmitted sensations by taking a unique a esthetic and turning vehicles into desired and admired objects and by these means intensify the concept of originality, distinction and build up an ecuadorian pride gradually eradicating foreign style waves.Item Diseño de la fuente tipográfica corporativa “Facultad” para eventos culturales y de difusión de la Facultad de Artes de la Universidad de Cuenca(2017) Torres Coronel, Andrés Marcelo; Ramos Balarezo, PabloThis capstone project focuses on the design of an institutional typeface by using analog and digital methods, the morphological exploration of signs and modern structures and based on classic lines to generate a proposal that will be used in headlines by the Faculty of Arts of the University of Cuenca, Ecuador. The methodology was based on the approach proposed by Karen Cheng in her book “Designing type” with some adjustments made to optimize working time.
