The present intervention project proposes to implement safety protocols for the modalities of kayaking, rafting and tubing adventure in the Upano River of the Sucúa canton in the province of Morona Santiago. This project will be carried out through a mixed approach, i.e. qualitative and quantitative, with a descriptive scope. For data collection, interviews were applied to guides, tour operators and local authorities. The information collected was analyzed in the Atlas ti 22 program, user surveys were also applied, and the results were executed in Tableau Public 2022. The results obtained determined that there are situations that can cause accidents during the aforementioned modalities, due to: the lack of training of the guides, absence of equipment for the practice, inadequate maintenance of the equipment, null control of the activities by local authorities in terms of processes, training and licenses, guides that do not comply with the regulations established by the Ministry of Tourism, such as the Adventure Tourism Operation Regulation 2022. However, the proposed safety protocols aim to improve safety processes and controls, so that the modalities of kayaking, rafting and tubing adventure can be developed correctly and fulfill their purpose of generating positive experiences for users who seek to disconnect from everyday life and take advantage of their leisure time. Keywords: adventure modalities, kayaking, rafting, tubing, insecurity
