Item El abandono del adulto mayor dentro de su entorno familiar(2018) Zúñiga Ochoa, Paola Verónica; Quito Calle, Jessica VanessaThe following monograph nourishes from different theoretical and statistic arguments, the same that should be not considered definitive; however, it has tried to provide an argumentative criterion based on theories and critiques. In this society, where it is evidenced an increment in competitiveness and dehumanization, the abandonment of elder people in their family environment, constitutes a serious social problem. As a methodology for the investigation, the deductive method was applied that, through general conclusions, arrived at particular ideas, this will focus in an analytical way such as in the factor and in the consequences of the abandonment, it will also focus in the social work in the pro elder. Elder citizens will be analyzed consequently; including the ones related to the person such as: age, physical and emotional dependence, gender or the health condition. Also it is taken into account the factors related to the family environment, that is: economic problems, surplus of emotional and physical load, lack of knowledge from the person in charge, deficient family relationships, and place of residence, among others. Finally, based upon elder rights established in the Constitution, which determine the elder citizens must receive specialized attention priority, therefore the estate ought to regulate and take measures such as build specialized centers, develop programs aiming to promote personal autonomy, protection against violence, etc.Item Los adultos mayores en el sistema socio-familiar(2015) Gordillo Criollo, Diana Priscila; Quito Calle, Jessica VanessaThe research called "Seniors in the socio-family environment", aims to analyze the evidence of vulnerability to the elderly and their both social ties as family since the completion stage adult and start a new stage arise several both physical, psychological and social hence changes and considering alternative interventions, making seniors potentializing their skills according to their ability to dependence and independence as we can not generalize that all cases are operated in the same way but if you work from the beginning of this stage you will get to the elderly for active aging, and will be much better interaction both familiar social and institutional level due to the magnitude of the cases. Also worth mentioning Ecuadorian social policies that guarantee fundamental rights for full comprehensive development thereof which are established in the Constitution of the Republic, National Plan of Good Living, Law Elder in the Technical Standard Population of Older: Center and geriatric services of the Ministry of Economic and Social Inclusion and even the Code of Criminal Integral established in December 2013. Based on the determination of the family dynamics, have proceeded to link with the analysis of behavioral and academic performance provided by teachers of the institution and studied based on interviews with students. The sample was of 20 families of children in the second year of basic general education who were deficient in specific academic aspects; specifically, two cases that required personalized attention in terms of academic performance because they did not reach Learning Required. These families were identified with their respective children to identify and analyze family dynamics and structures in order to determine how influence their academic performance. The instruments used to obtain the information were the systemic interviews, genograms and a questionnaire called How is your family? in order to look for the evaluation of the family; with all this data obtained the families were analyzed and proposal of prevention and training to the families was proposed, based on the evaluated criteria to improve the integral development of the children.Item Análisis de la estructura familiar de los y las estudiantes de básica media y su influencia en la violencia escolar. Chordeleg 2014-2105(2016) Ochoa Cabrera, Jeenifer Magaly; Quito Calle, Jessica VanessaThis paper is based on an analysis of the family structure of the students of basic medium and its influence on school violence, detected in the Sor María de Santo Tomás Alvarado school, Chordeleg canton during the academic year 2014-2015. This analysis seeks to determine whether the family structure influences of the girls school violence in order to work with the educational community, in matters of prevention and intervention, favoring the development of values and social skills that will allow you to reduce negative attitudes and aggressive behavior in the students. This research was the qualitative-quantitative method. We performed a descriptive theoretical analysis about the family structure and school violence; After this a survey was conducted to one hundred students of basic education Middle who ranged from 9 to 12 years of age; to teachers of the institution and a questionnaire survey to the parents or legal guardians of students who were the study sample. Finally, a high index of school violence was reflected in the results obtained in the survey, it was evident that the family structure of students come from different family types, styles of parenting, lack of communication, domestic violence and neglect that makes children project in the school environment. Azogues 2015, had as main objective to determine the structure of the families that present negligence towards the daughters and the children referred to the Specialized Special Protection Service from the structural model that is an option of analysis and frequently used by the family therapists. Human systems have a structure that determines their functioning, this operation in turn determines the structure considering the family as an open system, from this perspective the origin of psychological problems are in the family and their analysis and treatment will be performed At family level. The methodology is descriptive in the qualitative and quantitative approach, the techniques used were: family genogram, questionnaire as is your family and as is your family, the sample was taken according to the cases admitted to the Specialized Special Protection Service MIES- Azogues, from January to July of the year 2015 taking as sample 30 cases codified by the problem Negligence. Jima 2019(Universidad de Cuenca, 2020-09-28) Suin Zhunio, Aida Faviola; Quito Calle, Jessica VanessaBackground: According to the WHO (2013), cardiovascular diseases are responsible for approximately 17 million deaths in the world. These complications of arterial hypertension cause 9.4 million deaths annually. The increasing prevalence of hypertension is attributed to population growth, aging, and risk factors that are related to: behavior, unhealthy diet, noxious use of alcohol, physical inactivity. The General objective: Analyze the self-care capacity of older men and women diagnosed with arterial hypertension. Methodology: The research was quantitative and descriptive. It was made up of 80 older adults diagnosed with arterial hypertension, 26 male and 43 female participants aged 65 and older. The technique used was a survey and the instrument used was a questionnaire that consisted of the collection of sociodemographic information and activities related to self-care. The results were tabulated through the program SPSS. Results: 83.2% of the female participants and 96.15% of the male participants do not have a diet controlled by a nutritionist. 83.7% of the female participants and 84.6% of the male participants said to consume more than two grams per day. Alcohol consumption among males is frequent for 11.5% of participants and occasional for 30.8% of participants. 83.7% of female participants and 84.6% of male participants stated that they complied with their medical treatment. A majority of female (74.4%) and male (61.5%) participants go on monthly medical controls. In conclusion it can be said that there is a different self-care capacity among men and women.Item Clima social escolar: el caso de cuatro unidades educativas fiscales de la ciudad de Cuenca, período 2018 – 2019(Universidad de Cuenca, 2020-08-06) Ortega Pañora, Carmen Isabel; Sarmiento Ávila, Yoska Anabel; Quito Calle, Jessica VanessaThe analysis of the school social climate from Social Work guarantees a general view, considering that the social climate are the environmental conditions in which adolescents operate within the educational units, which must be studied and diagnosed from a profession that ensures the integrality in their intervention by working with all the actors of the educational system in the resolution of conflicts as in the prevention of them. This study analyses the perception of students on the school social climate through a quantitative approach with a descriptive study, for which the R. H. Moos and E. J. Trickett test was applied, Ecuadorian adaptation (2011), considering adolescents of the Unified General Baccalaureate of four educational units of the city of Cuenca, these institutions are: "3 November", "Octavio Cordero Palacios", "San Francisco", and "Alberto Andrade ArizagaBrumel", which resulted in a total of 500 students in a range of 15 to 20 years. The results obtained in this research indicate that the student perceives the school social climate that surrounds them as nutritious, considering the relationships between partners and their teachers as relevant factors, however, innovation in teaching methodologies remains fragile, the impact of Social Work and the school social climate are closely linked, however, within the education system there is a devaluation by the profession, just as it can be shown that the education system lacks institutional policies that promote a nutritious school social climate.Item El cuidado del adulto mayor en los centros gerontológicos, Cristo Rey y Abuelitos en Acción(2017) Mejía Fajardo, William Patricio; Quito Calle, Jessica VanessaThe present monograph aims to determine the way in which the staff of the gerontological centers attend the elderly, in addition will be given alternatives of training workshops to improve the care of the elderly, for the caregivers as for the families of the aforementioned .The methodology was descriptive and analytical, for which a semi-structured interview was used, in the Christ the King and Grandparents in Action centers, it was applied to the staff who are in charge of the care of the elderly, to identify the way in which they are cared for the elderly in the gerontological centers; to know if the families collaborate with the attentions of the old when they are requested by the gerontological centers; to propose training workshops for staff working in care centers for the elderly. With the results obtained in the interviews applied to the caregivers of the elderly who work in the gerontological centers, it was decided to propose training workshops aimed at the tutors of the elderly, so that they can improve the care they receive they toast.Item Cuidado y atención responsable de hijos e hijas después de la separación o divorcio de los padres y madres del CEIAP y del CIBV Pitufos, 2017-2018(Universidad de Cuenca, 2020-01-07) Murillo Jetón, Ana del Rocío; Quito Calle, Jessica VanessaDivorce or separation is a phenomenon that shows social and family transformation experienced by its members, and how it impacts the system of their relationship, especially when there are children involved. The objective of this research was to determine the responsible care and attention of a mother and father towards their children after divorce or separation in order to develop a training guide that contributes to a balance in family dynamics so that children and adolescents exercise their right to quality care by both parents. This research was quantitative, descriptive and transversal. The participating institutions were from the Center for Integral Stimulation and Psychotherapeutic Support of the University of Azuay and the Children's Center of Good Living (CIBV) One of the groups, the Smurfs, had a universe of 275 parents, where a non-probabilistic sample of 42 people are divorced or separated, of which 25 are women and 17 are men. The measuring instrument was a Questionnaire for the Evaluation of Adopters, Caregivers, Tutors and Mediators (CARIDA), which assesses the level of care. The statistical program SPSS 22 was used to process the information collected. The results show a low level of responsible care, 54,8% is attributed to mothers and 40,5% to fathers. On the other hand, 2,40% of mothers and 0% of fathers show an average level of responsible care. The figures vary according to the age of the sample. The results of the average ranges in terms of responsible care with a better profile are between 41 and 50 years old. For the CEIAP group of parents, the average is 2.56 and for the CIBV an average of 1.53. The difference that exists in responsible care between these groups is not significant, however the CEIAP parents have a better profile in responsible care for their children.Item La dependencia emocional en la mujer dentro del noviazgo(2016) Calvache Fajardo, Adriana Paulina; Quito Calle, Jessica VanessaThe present investigative report has a general objective of “Analyzing the emotional dependency of women when dating, with the conclusion of contributing alternatives that will permit us to confront the situation”, which permits us to learn more profoundly about the characteristics, causes, consequences and alternative treatments planted by diverse authors who have accordingly treated their cases satisfactorily. The method applied in this study is the analytic descriptive investigation of bibliographical character in which corresponding facts reference enclosing information contained in works* and scientific articles, which is the objective. In addition, to recollecting from various psychologists and therapists that have been effective, depending on the case of overcoming emotional dependency. Emotional dependency is personal instability, which creates an excessive necessity towards the partner therefore affecting the integral development in this case of women when dating. Multiple are the causes to develop this dependency, like coming from dysfunctional families, the absence or distortion of child-parent attachment, emotional traumas, social factors; in the same way there is a variation of consequences depending on the cause, for example a poor selection partner, addiction, imminent abandonment, loss of interest once together, low self-esteem, submission in her roles, emphasis on sexual. In conclusion, the present study contributes with a guide psych-educational to direct to an individual, family, social and the professional activity of the future family counselors.Item Dependencia emocional y funcionalidad familiar en estudiantes universitarios de segundo y cuarto ciclo de la carrera de Orientación Familiar, Facultad de Jurisprudencia de la Universidad de Cuenca, periodo marzo- julio 2019(Universidad de Cuenca, 2020-01-09) Redrován Delgado, Marcia Alexandra; Quito Calle, Jessica VanessaThis article is in determining the relationship between emotional dependence and family functionality in college students, the goal is to contribute to the knowledge of young students and therefore the ability of healthy relationships interpersonal arrivals where there is reciprocity, respect and understanding in the short, medium or long term, acquiring autonomy, independence and a favorable reflection in their self-esteem. Another purpose is to provide young people with tools to help reduce conflicts that occur in different areas, such as; emotional and physical state if we don't pay mandatory attention. The research was descriptive with a non-probabilistic-intentional sample, not all subjects had a time to be summoned to be elected, so the results of this study are not generalisable for the entire population. 2 instruments were used: Emotional Dependency Scale (ACCA) of Animaca, Caballero, Criollo and Aguirre in 2013 and the Brief Family Functioning Scale (FACES 20ESP) adapted from Martínez- Pampliega, Iraurgi, Galíndez and Sanz 2006. The group selected for the research was 40 students from the second and fourth cycles of the family orientation of the Faculty of Jurisprudence of the University of Cuenca, of both sexes, aged 18 to 22 years, who wished to participate voluntarily. The relationship between emotional dependence and family functionality is significant, because both are proportionally inverse which means that if a family is dysfunctional, the greater the degree of dependency that is generated in its members.Item El desarrollo del adolescente dentro de la familia monoparental(2017) Chalco Delgado, Angélica Gabriela; Quito Calle, Jessica VanessaThis monograph aims to try to establish the family dynamics, we will investigate the development of the adolescent within a single parent family, what are the causes for single parent families, and the conflicts that the adolescent can present, thus impeding their healthy development , We will also provide tools to the parent in charge of the family, so that he can overcome the stage he goes through and help him / her to cope with it and seek solutions to potential conflicts. The methodology applied in this study is analytical descriptive research of bibliographical character in which data corresponding to the information contained in works, studies and scientific articles are described. In addition, a survey was applied to ten adolescents living within a single-parent family, in order to identify by tabulation the possible conflicts to which they are exposed. Concluding, the present study contributed with a psychoeducational guide, aimed at the improvement of the family environment, the personal overcoming of the parent in charge and the search for solutions to the potential conflicts that the adolescent presents.Item El Afrontamiento al estrés en familias monoparentales y nucleares en la Unidad Educativa Ulises Chacón en el período septiembre-febrero 2019-2020(2020-03-04) Arce López, Andrea Paulina; Quito Calle, Jessica VanessaStress is a fundamental issue in the mental sphere, being responsible for known mental pathologies: depression, anxiety and also disorders due to the consumption of psychoactive substances, making it a social problem that affects the biological and psychological integrity of the human being. This study will identify the coping with stress of a group of 50 heads of household of single-parent and nuclear families of the Educational Institution Ulises Chacón of the City of Cuenca, in the period September-February 2019-2020.The qualitative approach study consisted in the application of a sociodemographic card and the CAE reagent "Stress Management Questionnaire". Later, an inductive analysis was carried out using SPSS software, from which relevant information was obtained and categorized according to the objectives of the research.The results of the study show that the most used mechanism by the families was the (FSP) Focus on Problem Solving, that is, the heads of household are framed in the resolutions, that is, they look for alternatives to conflicts; and the least used mechanism by these family typologies was (AFN) Negative Self Focus referring to the fact that the person presents feelings of defenselessness and incapacity, resignation, dependence, loss of control and pessimism. It is important to analyze the ways of coping with stress, in order to promote healthy coping strategies in families and to program psychosocial planning in community welfare guaranteeing the mental wellbeing of families.Publication El intento de suicidio y la desesperanza en la adolescencia(Universidad Católica de Cuenca, 2019) Quito Calle, Jessica Vanessa; Tamayo Piedra, Mónica; Tenemaza Ruilova, Vicente Marcelo; Quesada Orellana, Victor Manuel; Serrano Patten, Ana Caridad; Hernandez Rodriguez, Yenima de la CaridadIntroduction: Suicide can be divided into three categories: completed suicide, suicide attempt and suicidal ideation. The current situation of adolescents and the conditions that negatively affect their quality of life, are evident when analyzing the statistics on the suicide attempt, which represents extreme situations and which refers to social failure as an individual life process. Objective: To identify the frequency of suicide attemps and the state of despair present in adolescents. Methodology: The instrument used was the Suicide Behavior Questionary (SBQ) by Lilian Salvo and Roberto Melipillán that investigates the frequency of suicidal ideation and suicide attemps and the scale of Beck's despair that allows us to orient the state of despair experienced by the person, including in the study 1469 adolescents, enrolled in the Educational Institutions of the city of Cuenca: National School "Benigno Malo". and the Particular Educational Unit Corazón de María". Results: The results of this research were obtained throug the SPSS program showing that 11.95% of adolescents have attempted suicide once; of these, 22.3% turn out to be adolescents of sixteen years of age. In turn, 11.26% and 2.39% manifest a moderate despair and a severe despair, respectively. Conclusiones: Although the adolescent lives with both parents, there is the presence of suicide attempts more in women and the presence of states of despair, between mild and moderate.Item Embarazo en adolescentes en nuestra sociedad(2015) Abad Fajardo, Olga Catalina; Quito Calle, Jessica VanessaAdolescent fertility is a problem to be solved in the Ecuadorian society, because, despite the plans, projects and strategies laid out by the present Government to reduce its incidence, the data collected of this phenomenon are still worrying. Therefore, the present research work entitled "Pregnancy in adolescents in our society," aims essential analyze from theoretical and practical point of view the intervention of Social work in situations of pregnancy in adolescence in Ecuadorian society. The elements that determine fertility are firstly exposed as well as the aspects related to the partner relationship, the consequences of early pregnancies and the options of policies for the prevention of pregnancy in adolescence. In a second moment it is analyzed the rate of pregnancy among adolescents in Ecuador, demographic, and socio-economic characteristics as well as the aspirations and economic opportunities of these couples are determined. Such elements allow the proposal of actions in a third moment of the investigation run by female workers and social workers, based on prevention and support to situations of pregnancy in adolescence. The physical and psychological damage caused to children and girls low self-esteem, aggression, substance abuse, etc. The types of abuse are most evident physical, psychological and sexual, with effects for both the family and society, they are quite notorious as the abuse is a snowball that is enveloping the subject's environment. Thus, to intervene in this issue of social work intervention is considered essential. The theoretical approach that tries to establish the research of historical background and explanations from a sociological point of view about the abuse. This research is summarized in the next three chapters: In chapter I, it presents a precise description of basic concepts of this model that let us a better understanding and approach to it. In chapter II, it justifies the contribution of Social Work to this model. Moreover, its phases of treatment, the techniques employed as the applications and applicability that Social Work will give to its users within this model. Finally, the chapter III identifies the intervention of Social Work from the Behavior Modification Model; furthermore, it presents a brief field research based on interviews to professionals of Social Work in health, education, and social areas to know if they use this model of intervention in their respective fields of work. Similarly, it refers to the methodology used in this study are the descriptive analytical investigation and a purely bibliographic revision of which it has been possible to cite the fundamental information of books and scientific articles of several authors among which we have Dr. Juan José Viscarret Jarro, Social Worker and Professor- researcher of the Public University of Navarra-España.Item Los beneficios de la orientación familiar en el contexto educativo urbano de la ciudad de Cuenca y su impacto(Universidad de Cuenca, 2020-07-31) Cuesta Cordero, Paúl Enrique; Quito Calle, Jessica VanessaThe difficulties that the family is currently going through can directly or indirectly affect the academic performance of students, therefore, family orientation as an essential part of interdisciplinary work within educational institutions would become the forerunner in solving many problems. For this reason, this descriptive study aimed to identify the benefits of family orientation in the educational context and its impact. For this, a survey was applied to students, parents, authorities and teachers of 25 urban educational institutions in the city of Cuenca that have and do not have the family guidance service, at the same time a comparative analysis was carried out based on the general average and behavior obtained in the school period September 2018 - July 2019. The results indicate that within the control group, family orientation generated several benefits, and at first glance an impact on the academic performance of students, despite the hypothesis of study could not be verified. While, in the experimental group, a large percentage of respondents are between somewhat and little informed about these benefits, they also know very little about this profession and relate it to other sciences. These results invite us to reflect on the usefulness of family orientation in the educational context and the need to improve its promotion to society.
