Publication Data repository of mobile applications for people with disabilities in the area of communication and language using data mining techniques(Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers Inc., 2018) Quisi Peralta, Diego Fernando; Robles Bykbaev, Vladimir Espartaco; Saquicela Galarza, Víctor Hugo; López Nores, MartínAccording to National Council of Disabilities (CONADIS) currently 425877 persons live in Ecuador with some form of disability. From this group, approximately 1.32% (5,621) people present language difficulties. However, although exist several technological developments, several Ecuadorian centers of special education/rehabilitation there is a lack of adequate support tools based on Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) and intelligent systems. This situation becomes more complicated in the area of speech-language therapy due this area was historically overlooked. For these reasons, in this paper we propose a system to generate a new repository of mobile applications for people with disabilities and language and communication disorders. To achieve this a process that allows mobile applications to automatically collect and through the natural language processing and vector space models generated a degree of belonging to issue search and generate the first mobile application repository will be generated. Our proposal relies on data mining techniques and allows educators as well therapists determining the best apps to support the intervention process of patients with disabilities. To this aim we have developed metrics to compare mobile apps from Google Play Store and IOS. Our proposal was validated with an analysis performed on 6700 mobile apps and the results are encouraging.Item Diseño y desarrollo de un repositorio y buscador de aplicaciones móviles pedagógicas para personas con discapacidad(2017) Quisi Peralta, Diego Fernando; Saquicela Galarza, Víctor HugoThe World Health Organization estimates that today more than one billion people live with some form of disability. Despite this situation, many countries especially those in the developing world, do not count on the resources that incorporate adequate technological and methodological aspects to support the educational process or rehabilitation of these people. On the other hand, with the development of information and communication technologies, a large number of mobile applications are available that can provide a key input for educational support for disabled people worldwide. In this paper, a system is presented that conducts an automatic compilation of mobile educational applications tailored to the specific needs of individual users. Which is made possible based on artificial intelligence techniques such as ontologies, hierarchical agglomerative clustering techniques, natural language processing and WebCrawlers. The information for mobile applications is extracted from Google Play and the App Store and is intended to provide educational guidance for life skills. The system allowed to collect and extract automatically more than 15,000 mobile applications. From this set of applications to random sample was reviewed and validated by an expert team of 25 students from the "Career in Early Education, Early Stimulation and Early Intervention" at the "Universidad del Azuay". An applied survey was done to said group of students, obtaining a value of 0.8936218 relative to the Cronbach Alpha coefficient.Publication Perfil epidemiológico de trauma en el Centro de Trauma y Emergencia Quirúrgica de un hospital de referencia del sur de Ecuador, septiembre a diciembre de 2014(Universidad Politécnica Salesiana, 2017) Ortiz Segarra, José Ignacio; Cabrera Prieto, Mayra Priscila; Timbi Sisalima, Cristian Fernando; Quisi Peralta, Diego Fernando; Vanegas Coveña, Diana Patricia; Reinoso Naranjo, Jeovanni Homero; Pino Andrade, Raúl Haldo; Palacios Espinoza, Elvira del Carmen
