    Crecimiento físico y estado nutricional de los niños de seis a doce años de las escuelas del centro parroquial de San Joaquín y de las comunidades de Gullanzhapa y Colegio Álamos, 2006-2007

    Quantitative descriptive research. With a universe of 492 children from the three schools: Antonio Farfán (San Joaquín), Miguel Morocho (Gullanzhapa) and Marco Aurelio Vélez (Colegio Alamos). Conventional samples: 100 in the Marco Aurelio Vélez School, 30 Escuelas Antonio Farfán, and 30 in the Miguel Morocho School, considering the number of students in each one. The physical examination was done prioritizing the anthropometric assessment, observation and the survey. The relationships between physical growth through weight and height and the characteristics of nutrition and feeding of the boys and girls of the mentioned schools were identified. Results: nutritional status of children / as of the three schools are below normal; A high percentage of malnutrition, 58 at the Marco A. Vélez School, 52 at the Antonio Farfán School, followed by 51 at the Miguel Morocho School.
