(Universidad de Cuenca, 2020-06-08) Criollo Díaz, Cristina Lizeth; Pulla Mora, Susana Andrea; Serrano Tapia, Alex Daniel
In order to achieve the design of the Agroecological Park preliminary project requested by the Municipality of Cañar, the Participative Action Investigation methodology was chosen. This methodology is based on a need felt by the subjects, groups, and organizations involved (Sbd, n.d., p.3), where the solution to the problem arises from the active participation of the community that will use the installations and their real needs. For this purpose, the conceptual and theoretical bases related to the subject of the degree are addressed in the first instance: Intercultural City, Sustainable City, Urban Agriculture, Agroecology, Sustainable Architecture, which will allow the understanding of the way it should start and conceive the preliminary project of the design of an agro-ecological park. Subsequently, with the study cases analysis, related parks and agroecological orchards at national and international level, possible design strategies and criteria are established. Also, the site analysis allows a better understanding of the context in which the preliminary design of the Agroecological Park, will be inserted. This information, together with the conceptual-theoretical basis and case studies, will be reflected in the definitive architectural program. Finally, for the design stage, in addition to the criteria already extracted, pre-existing physical, social and cultural elements define the strategies and design criteria are contemplated, followed by the preliminary project proposal from the urban to the pedestrian scale.
