The survey was applied to 164 employees (69 from San Felipe de Oña and 95 from Chordeleg). The results show that transformational leadership has an impact on organizational commitment, presenting a positive but moderate correlation between organizational commitment and transformational and transactional leadership styles. Specifically, in the GAD of San Felipe de Oña, there is no significant incidence of any type of leadership, while in the GAD of Chordeleg, Transformational Leadership has a positive impact on organizational commitment. In addition, Engagement mediates the relationship between transformational leadership style and organizational commitment of the GADs studied.
