    Prevalencia de trastornos en el desarrollo del lenguaje en Centros Infantiles del Buen Vivir. Gualaceo 2017

    The main disorder that is evident in children 2 to 4 years of age, is the delay in language, research and early intervention is fundamental for child development. General Objective: To determine the prevalence in the development of language in children aged 18 to 42 months who present a possible delay in their neurodevelopment from the Center of Infants in Good Living in the district of Gualaceo. 2017 Methodology: To obtain results two instruments were used: the pediatric neurodevelopment screening (NPed), through which data was derived in order to obtain a second test known as (PLS IV), which specifically evaluated the age of language development; both comprehensive and expressive language made by the children. This experiment was cross sectional descriptive using 238 children aged between 18 - 42 months, they were from all ten center of Infants from the Gualaceo district. The data was computed using the EPIDAT version 4 program in Spanish and employed graphs, frequency tables and a statistical analysis. Results: To total of 238 preschoolers were evaluated, all aged between 18 - 42 months. According to the data obtained from the pediatric neurodevelopment screening (Nped), 134 children (56.30%) displayed a possible delay in neurodevelopment; these children were also tested using the PLS IV. It was found that there were 55 cases (41.04%) of children with a delay in learning development. In males there were 33 cases (60.00%), in urban areas there were 29 cases (52.73%) and the level of mild involvement with 47 children (19.74%).
