Item Modelos, teoría y práctica de atención de enfermería en el servicio de emergencia del Hospital José Carrasco Arteaga, Cuenca 2011(2012) Prado Naranjo, Olga Cristina; Peralta Rivadeneira, Gloria Guadalupe; Regalado Vásquez, Blanca del Rocío; Iturralde Aguilar, María Augusta; Verdugo Sánchez, Adriana ElizabethObjective: To identify the models, Theory and Practice of Nursing Care in the Hospital Emergency Service "Jose Carrasco Arteaga." Materials and Methods: A descriptive research was used as study techniques of direct observation and interview and as a tool, a form with closed questions, which are applied to the nurses in the area. Each form consisted of ten closed and open questions, which was filled by those who participated in the investigation. Results based on surveys administered to nursing staff and by the observation made by the researchers found that direct care activities that apply to users of this service is for those that are framed in the models Life of Nancy Roper (93.75) and Dorothea Orem Self care (87.5), however these are not the only models used by nurses, as in the area also apply where care is prioritized the needs of each patient (Virginia Henderson), but to a lesser percentage. Conclusion: During this process it was noted that the emergency area receives a large number of patients with various diseases, the nursing staff is trained scientifically and technically to resolve every case efficiently and responsibly.
