    Diseño de polideportivo para la parroquia de Chiquintad

    Chiquintad parochial ́s GAD based on diagnostic made in 2019 identifies an important activity that enhances so- cio-cultural components, which establishes to expand and strengthen sports projects and adequate use of free time. In response to this need, the implementation of a sports center is established in a land located in the San Jose ́s community, within the parish headwaters. This project was requested by Chiquintad parochial ́s GAD through an agreement with the Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism college at University of Cuenca. The objective of the project is to provide the community by equipment for sports, social and cultural events, because there are much interest in sports activities, which demand a properly equi- pped space that allows the practice of sports to maintain good mental and physical health and provide a better quality of life for habitants. Also providing space for the administrative use of the parochial ́s GAD. In the first phase of the project a diagnosis and analysis will be carried out prior to the design of the preliminary project of the sports center, where the theoretical background, his- torical review, culture and tradition are the starting point to know in depth the parish and its inhabitants, information necessary to direct the design based on the place where it is located and focus population. Once the study where ended up, an analysis of five refe- rences was carried out, from which the two projects with the highest valuation based on the parameters proposed will be selected and analyzed in depth as case studies, from which guidelines to be considered in the design of the pro- ject will be highlighted. Therefore, an analysis of the site for the implementation of the equipment, location, physical environment, population and urban analysis will be carried out, which are influential factors to enter to the last stage, which is the development of the preliminary draft of the sports center for Chiquintad parochial ́s GAD.
