    Evaluación pre y post intervención educativa sobre conocimientos, actitudes y prácticas del consumo de aceites domésticos en la parroquia Sayausí, provincia del Azuay en el año 2013

    Objective: to assess the effect of an educational intervention on knowledge, attitudes and practices in the management of oil for human consumption. Material and methods: we conducted an intervention study, were included in the study 187 people involved in the preparation of food at home, who have children attending the parish catechesis on Sayausí, during the period 2012-2013. The educational intervention was conducted in two sessions lasting 45 minutes. The data were obtained by direct survey pre and post intervention. Results: 187 surveys were conducted and after the educational intervention, the knowledge, attitudes and practices of the entire study group upgraded from a 78.07% to 94.12%, with a significant difference (x2= 20.10; 95% CI 0.05, GL 1). Conclusion: an educational intervention produced a significant increase in knowledge, attitudes and practices in the management of oil for human consumption.
