Revisión bibliográfica(Universidad de Cuenca, 2025-05-20) Pillajo Maldonado, Paola Alexandra; Pindo Guarquila, Jessica Elizabeth; Montaño Peralta, Bertha SorayaSexual practices are sexual-erotic activities manifested by human beings as an instinctive need, where they are classified as risky when they compromise the health of the individual and third parties in biological, psychological and social aspects. These risk activities are more prevalent in adolescents and young adults, because they practice sexual activities classified as risky sexual practices of early onset, multiple sexual partners, not using a barrier method or contraceptives during sexual intercourse, oral, vaginal or anal sex, manifesting consequences such as sexually transmitted diseases such as Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV), gonorrhea, unwanted pregnancy, among others. The most frequent causes are: Beginning of sexual activity under 18 years of age, under consumption of substances such as drugs and/or alcohol, sex having a higher incidence in the male population, having casual sex, not using contraceptive methods during intercourse, level of academic instruction, culture.
