    Conversando con... Luis Longhi
(2021) Pillacela Chin, Luisa; Sagbay Jaramillo, Edgar Geovanny; Crespo Fajardo, José Luis
Luis Longhi Traverso, professor at the Peruvian University of Applied Sciences (known as UPC) and international speaker, receives us one afternoon in September via video call. We are in front of one of the architects with more projection in Peru. In recent decades his figure has been widely recognized and his projects have won him important awards, most notably the 2010 Golden Hexagon, the highest distinction in Peruvian architecture. He earned his degree from Ricardo Palma University and has completed postgraduate studies at the University of Pennsylvania, he worked in Balkrishna Doshi’s studio in Amhedabad (India). In the United States he was employed in the offices of Adèle Santos, David Slovic, Gruen Associates and Farrington Design Group, among others. In 1994 he returned to Peru to create the firm Longhi Architects, focused on creating architecture with a high degree of artistic sense. One example is the house where he currently resides and from which he virtually receives us: the Chullpas House (outside Lima), whose tubular structures are related to the Inca archaeological remains of the Chullpas of Sillustani, in Puno, his place of birth. The interior of the Chullpas house is full of sculptures, some of them own, the most abstract ones, and others of preColumbian nature. The cardboard and wood models remind us of his job as a professor, while the posters announcing theatrical performances speak of the time when he worked as a stage designer. Between stones and the gray concrete painted in magenta, yellow and blue tones, the Inca Longhi, as his friends call him, has spent this time of confinement.

New data on Domingo Antonio de Velasco’s treatise on external anatomy
(2021) Crespo Fajardo, José Luis; Pillacela Chin, Luisa
This article provides new data on the manuscript Tratado de la anatomía exterior, composed by the painter Domingo Antonio de Velasco. This rare document was made known through a transcription (1864) and a facsimile edition (1987), but despite being part of the history of artistic anatomy in Spain, little has been contributed about its origin and sources. Velasco was an artist linked to the Academy of San Fernando, and his last years were marked by a political trial of some significance in the print media of the period after the Liberal Triennium. He composed the document at the beginning of the 19th century, and although on the cover he dedicates it to the School of Drawing in Salamanca, it seems to be the second part of a notebook that he presented before the Academy of San Fernando. This article investigates the details and context of the creation of the manuscript, revealing hitherto unknown data about its iconographic and theoretical references, as well as informing about the existence of an attached drawing.

New technologies in the first sublevels of Cultural and Artistic Education in Ecuador
(2021) Crespo Fajardo, José Luis; Pillacela Chin, Luisa
In relation to the topic of the implementation of Information and Communication Technologies in the Preparatory and Elementary School sublevels, the article exposes a series of considerations about the particular case of the area of Cultural and Artistic Education, according to the current curriculum of Basic General Education in Ecuador. Based on the analysis of content as a methodology, this article examines the presence of new technologies in the aforementioned sub-levels of the curriculum and reviews an extensive bibliography of educational, psychological, and cultural studies topics. It then goes on to specify the basic concepts to be taken into account when addressing any relevant discussion or controversy, contextualizing the particular case of Ecuador. This is how the notions of education for the future are developed, the predominance of a positive discourse towards new technologies, considering them synonymous with innovation, the advent of the digital natives, the role of the teacher and the promotion of critical and creative thinking. In conclusion, in view of an ideal readjustment of the curriculum of Cultural and Artistic Education by the Ministry of Education of Ecuador, it is recommended to use the Information and Communication Technologies with prudence and to avoid introducing them in the first two sub-levels of the area.

Observando el informe “Índice h de las revistas científicas españolas según Google Scholar Metrics”: el caso de las revistas de arte
(2021) Crespo Fajardo, José Luis; Pillacela Chin, Luisa
This article reflects on the annual report prepared by the research group EC3 (Evaluation of Science and Scientific Communication), of the University of Granada, entitled " H-index of Spanish scientific journals according to Google Scholar Metrics", focusing on the section of art journals. It assesses their accuracy, explaining the convenience of categorizing journals by discipline and the need to remove nonscientific journals. It warns about the consequences that the lack of precision of the report could generate in the community of researchers and in the evaluation agencies.

Parental migration from the perspective of personal-emotional development and school performance in Gualaceo-Ecuador
(2022) Pillacela Chin, Luisa; Crespo Fajardo, José Luis
Parental emigration represents one of the most serious problems in rural schools in Ecuador. The article aims to determine that the origin of the problems related to the personal-emotional development and school performance of the students of the Rotary Club Basic Education School (Burin Community, Gualaceo, Azuay province, Ecuador), is a consequence of the absence of parents, who have emigrated. The type of research is descriptive, documentary and field; following a methodology for the analysis of the survey applied to 8 students of the center and their corresponding legal representatives (8), supported by a discussion based on the teaching experience during the 2018-2019 school period, as a complementary inquiry technique. The registration of information and its results contrasted with the field observation, made it possible to show that parental emigration has a negative impact on school performance and on the emotional development of the boys and girls of the Rotary Club school. Finally, recommendations are proposed for actions such as: Educational interventions, psycho-affective workshops, increase in work meetings with student representatives, aimed at students affected by this problem being able to cope with the situation, improving their development and school motivation.
