Therefore, the objective of the research was to describe the presence or absence of general body dissatisfaction in high school students at the Saraguro Educational Unit during the period 2023-2024. To this end, the methodological design adopted was quantitative, non- experimental and cross-sectional, with a descriptive approach. The study population included97 participants from the Unified General Baccalaureate. The information was collected by applying the sociodemographic form Annex (A) and the Body Shape Questionnaire (BSQ) Annex (B), which evaluates body image dissatisfaction. The results reveal that 21.65% of adolescents present general body dissatisfaction. When analyzing the axes of the BSQ, it is observed that 24.74% show dissatisfaction in axis 1 "Body dissatisfaction" and 22.62% show concern about weight in axis 2 "Concern about weight." These findings provide a detailed view of the degree of body dissatisfaction and concern about weight in the context studied, suggesting interventions and policies aimed at improving the mental health and well-being of adolescent girls.
