Valoración de padres sobre funciones ejecutivas y comportamiento en niños de 7 a 10 años
(2019-02-27) Molina Cullacay, Freddy David; Pesantez Segarra, Israel Patricio; Webster Cordero, Felipe Edmundo
The main objective of this research is to determine the relationship between executive functions and behavior of children aged 7 to 10 years old based on the assessment of 93 parents of students enrolled at the school Manuel Guerrero of the city of Cuenca. The research was conducted from a quantitative approach with no experimental cross-sectional design and a correlational scope. For obtain data and the pertinent information, the application of two scales was necessary; for the executive functions, the behavior inventory of executive functions was used (BRIEF form parents) and for the behavior the BASC scale. In this way the results indicate a low value of correlation significance between the two variables, because only a significant correlation between the subscale "Attention Problems" and "monitoring" for the behavior and executive functions areas respectively evidenced. So children who present difficulties in attention as easily distracted, have difficulties in checking their own work, as well as an evaluation of its own performance, which could impact negatively on the academic, social or family activities
