    Anteproyecto de la Plaza de Armas del Parque Guantug en el cantón Cañar, Ecuador

    The objective of this work is to rescue the patrimonial and cultural value that characterizes the Cañari people, in addition to reactivate tourism within the canton and ensure the promotion of its many natural charms, contributing to the economy of the population. Currently, several factors: economic, social, political and even cultural, affect the functional purpose of the Guantug park, there are several unused areas and buildings that do not have an identity that characterizes them as belonging to the culture of Cañar. Therefore, it is considered essential to intervene this park, starting from the problems and needs of the users, to subsequently make an architectural proposal that provides a clear example of the pre-Cañari, Cañari and Inca culture, as well as having a solid criterion in making decisions and interventions within the draft project of the Plaza de Armas. Considering to refer to the history and culture that contributes to tourism, in addition to considering the general concepts of public space, its division and the importance of a good architectural proposal. Based on this, the proposed work starts from these topics, to later have an evolution of contents that will help in the decision making and determination of design strategies, to finally conclude with a proposal at the preliminary project level for the Plaza de Armas of Guantug Park in Cañar Canton, Ecuador.
