The purpose of this monographic work is to investigate the factors that are involved in the integration of ICT, that are in the seventh grade primary school. In order to achieve this goal, we worked in compilation, revision, analysis, and synthesis of academic articles, doctoral thesis, books, official websites,etc. This research came from a context where digital divide was still latent between education and technology. It was being considered as the main external resource to education. If this was the case, the ICT proved to be an essential tool for educational processes and for the diversity of alternatives. By doing this, it offers the need to find mechanisms that coincide in educations quality. Secondly, according to several authors whiche emphasizeits importance, the necessary factors are established for an adequate integration of the ICT. Last but not least, from an analysis of the information collected, the Ecuadorian context is related in order to know the situation of these factors. Also, the care received by the governments entities and to visualize the dependence for effective integration Ecuadorian curriculum. In conclusion, possible tools and technological strategies that contribute to the teacher with the development of knowledge, are recommended throught ICT. ICT has started transversal role for the fulfillment of educational curriculum.
Open source SCADA system for advanced monitoring of industrial processes

Modern industries demand reliable supervision and control of every process involved in the manufacturing. Computer integrated manufacturing (CIM) systems provide a reference frame for integrating the majority of entities of an automation process by using computers to control production systems. Integrating a fully operational CIM system implies high costs of licenses of specialized automation software, which limits its penetration to low and medium size industries. This paper presents the development of an open source supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) system by using the general purpose programming platform, Python. The SCADA system offers communication capabilities through an open source OPC-UA server, which solves data exchange with control devices such as PLC, PAC, etc. The system also provides fault-tolerance features thanks to the implementation of an active fault tolerant …
