(2020-02-28) Juela Culcay, Ricardo Adrián; Peralta Paredes, Priscila Pamela; Orozco Tupacyupanqui, Carlos Felipe
The media are responsible for disseminating information about what happens minute by minute in the world. Such information must be objective, investigated in depth and verified before being published. That is why they require that their professionals comply with the norms established in the code of ethics of each institution, in addition to those stipulated at national and international level. There are different codes of ethics that guarantee the free exercise of journalism, as well as access to the information necessary to cover a fact. Similarly, journalists' associations are responsible for ensuring that the rights of communicators are fulfilled in accordance with the provisions. The professional practice of journalism is different from that studied in classrooms, when handling and disseminating the information obtained. And these differences are what we address throughout the investigation with the help of journalists who have been working in the media for more than ten years. This is through his participation in a focus group and his experience as a social communicator.
