Graphic expression plays a fundamental role in architectural design, being an essential way of creating and communicating the perception of a work. In this context, Rem Koolhaas and his firm, Office for Metropolitan Architecture (OMA), have developed a distinctive approach to graphic representation, capturing significant attention and gaining recognition for the quality and originality of their visual presentations. It is therefore imperative to investigate how this graphic approach is integrated not only in their work, but also in contemporary architecture in the 21st century. The general objective of this study is to analyze the evolution of architectural graphic representation in the work of Rem Koolhaas and OMA in order to understand its influence on contemporary architectural theory and practice. To do this, a methodology with a qualitative approach is proposed, focusing on the investigation of the evolution of Koolhaas' and OMA's architectural graphic representation. The methodology comprises the review of relevant literature, the analysis of the graphic representation of emblematic projects and the comparison of Koolhaas's influence on contemporary architecture, addressing concepts and examples of current trends of the 21st century. It is concluded that Koolhaas and OMA's influence on contemporary architecture in the 21st century is remarkable, thanks to their innovative combination of traditional techniques and original graphic elements. In addition, this study seeks to highlight the importance of their contribution, underlining the relevance of diversity of expression and creativity in 21st century architecture.
