The physical condition is an important factor in the formative process of the students of “Pedagogy of Physical Activity and Sport”, since, there are particular characteristics linked to the physical performance of the career and the profession itself. Students of the University of Cuenca carried out a study in which the physical condition of first cycle students of the Pedagogy of Physical Activity and Sport Career was evaluated; although there is the mentioned study on the initial physical condition of these students, there is no documented evidence on their current physical condition at a specific stage throughout their academic career. Based on this situation, the general objective is to analyze the physical condition of students in the seventh cycle of the Physical Activity and Sports Pedagogy program at the University of Cuenca, in relation to previous evaluations applied to the same students in the first cycle. The research method to be applied was quantitative, in addition to a comparative analysis with a descriptive approach of longitudinal cut. The tools to be applied were: the EUROFIT battery and the short version of the IPAQ questionnaire. The study population consisted of students in the seventh cycle of the Pedagogy of Physical Activity and Sport career; as results, a significant progression of physical condition was found in relation to the study previously conducted at the University of Cuenca. Conclusions: The comparison with the evaluations performed in the first cycle indicated a general worsening in physical capacities, and especially in cardiovascular endurance.
