Item Valoración del estado nutricional y desarrollo psicomotriz en niños menores de 3 años del Centro del Buen Vivir Ánima, Cuenca 2018(2018) Padilla Encalada, Erika Gabriela; Rodríguez Pinza, Carlos Alberto; Clavijo Morocho, Nube JanethNutrition is a determining factor to acquire adequate motor conditions; contributes to the healthy development of internal structures of the central and peripheral nervous system; fundamental aspects for the adequate physical and cognitive growth of children (1). Alterations in psychomotor development are the third cause associated with learning problems in children. In Latin America, the prevalence of learning problems associated with psychomotor disorders ranges from 33% to 45% (2). GENERAL OBJECTIVE: To determine the psychomotor development and nutritional status of children under 3 years of the Children's Center of Good Living "ANIMA". METHODOLOGY: Quantitative, observational, analytical cross-sectional design study applied at the Children's Center of Good Living "ANIMA"; with a universe corresponding to 40 children under 3 and 40 parents. The technique used was with surveys of parents and application of tests to children. The results are presented in frequency tables and graphs. The program SPSS version 22 was used for tabulation of data, Microsoft Word and Excel for the analysis of it. RESULTS: 47.5% of children have abnormal psychomotor development. 85% of children have a normal nutritional status, 10% of children are at risk of low weight, 2.5% in low weight and finally 2.5% with an overweight and alteration in the thick motor.
