    Aplicación de la guía de buenas prácticas ambientales para el funcionamiento de establecimientos de alojamiento de la Comisión de Gestión Ambiental, en el Hotel Boutique Santa Lucía de la ciudad de Cuenca

    This academic Project develops in the Santa Lucia Boutique Hotel, an important establishment of the city of Cuenca, where they offer accommodation, restaurant, events and bar-lounge services, through processes and operations in accordance with environmental regulations regulated by the Environmental Management Commission of Cuenca. The hotel business is part of the tourism industry, which makes it an activity which by its nature generates direct impacts to the environment; the following paper presents an analysis of the work done by the Environmental Management Commission in the hotel sector in based on good practice guide for the operation of accommodation establishments. As well as the results obtained in the Santa Lucia Boutique Hotel from the application of environmental good practice guide prepared by the Environmental Management Commission in the various steps, processes and operations. As a main base for the development of this academic project was used the "Guide to Good Environmental Practice for the Operation of Hotels, Hostels, Residential Accommodation, Motels and Hotel Companies with Capacity of Accommodation Less than 30 Rooms", prepared by the Environmental Management Commission, the same that has been applied in the hotel establishment, by provision of the environmental authority and being an effective tool for the development of environmentally friendly activities.
