The objective of this research work is to understand the relationship between Human Rights Education and the reduction of various forms in which explicit and implicit school violence is manifested in the fifth year of elementary school of the "Miguel Moreno" Educational Unit. It is based on several previous studies that relate violence to human rights. Any manifestation of violence in the education sector represents a violation of the right to education of children and adolescents; to health and well-being, in this sense; Human rights were born as a measure towards equality and peace for people around the world through a series of universal values. The study presents an interpretative paradigm, with a descriptive phenomenological design, with a sample of seventeen individuals corresponding to twelve students, three teachers, one representative of the DECE and the rector of the institution, applying the technique of focus group, observation, and interview. It was possible to conclude that there are internal and external factors that produce school violence in the educational institution, among them; the lack of control by parents and guardians; the lack of values, the asymmetrical power relations. In addition, it becomes crucial that teachers, parents and students have a deep knowledge of their rights and those of others, since this knowledge, appropriation and practice of universal values allows for coexistence towards equality and peace.
