    Valoración del bajo peso, sobrepeso y obesidad en los niños y niñas de la Escuela Fiscal Mixta Manuel Coronel de la parroquia Paccha del cantón Cuenca 2010-2011

    The investigation tries to determine the prevalence of the low weight, overweight and obesity in niños/as of the School “Manuel Colonel” of the Corner River basin, to take part envelope they, promoting action of monitoring, nutritional advising and nourishing security for a healthful growth, rescuing the cultural tradition in relation to the nutritional habits. This investigation is of quantitative type, the same that counts on a universe of 322 niños/as from the second to seventh of basic; represented with a sample of 76 niños/as. The investigation techniques that were used are the surveys to the parents of family of niños/as and selected the anthropometric control to niños/as at random for the investigation The used instruments were the tables of index of corporal mass (IMC), the curves of growth of the NCHS, survey form on the socioeconomic condition of the parents. Normally the data process and were analyzed by means of Microsoft office Word and Excel. According to the realized analyzes they demonstrate that 55,26% as much men as women present/display low weight, of equal way the 5,26% are of on weight and 7,89% represent obesity.
