    Propuesta de anteproyecto urbano arquitectónico de un parque urbano para el Cantón El Guabo

    This thesis compiles all the work done to develop the preliminary design of an urban park for the El Guabo canton, which meets the needs of the population and complies with the regulations established in the PDOT of the canton for the year 2021. The main objective is to integrate this park as a fundamental component of the canton, positively influencing its future development. The thesis is structured into five chapters that address various crucial aspects for the project. The history of the canton, its geographical location, and its vernacular architecture are studied, along with how to respond to the need for more public spaces in the area. Likewise, a detailed analysis of the proposed site for the park in the PDOT is carried out, considering topographic, climatic, environmental, and social factors, along with the needs and expectations of the local population. A study of relevant cases is conducted to extract valuable lessons and contributions for the park design, and subsequently, the implementation strategies derived from the previous findings are synthesized, aiming to create a space that meets local needs and harmoniously integrates with the urban environment. Finally, recommendations are presented for the park construction process, as well as guidelines for architecture professionals interested in similar projects. Overall, this preliminary design offers a comprehensive and systematic vision of an urban park aimed at improving the quality of life of the inhabitants of the Santa Ana neighborhood in the El Guabo canton.
