Background: The experiences of adolescent mothers in relation to exclusive breastfeeding (EBF) are often challenging. The process of becoming a mother and carrying out this practice can be more difficult for them compared to adult mothers. These experiences can hinder and facilitate the execution of exclusive breastfeeding, which involves providing nutrient-rich breast milk until 6 months of age. Therefore, the support of health personnel to adolescent mothers is essential to promote the continuity of EBF. Objective: To describe the experiences of exclusive breastfeeding in adolescent mothers who attend the El Valle Health Center, Cuenca 2024-2025. Method: Qualitative study with a phenomenological design that allowed the collection of information about the experiences of adolescent mothers in the practice of Exclusive Breastfeeding (EBF) who attend the El Valle Health Center. The information was obtained through a semi-structured interview with 7 adolescent mothers. The interpretation and analysis process was carried out using Atlas Ti software. Results: Adolescent mothers experience multiple challenges when trying to exclusively breastfeed their babies, linked to the categories of knowledge, difficulties of this practice, facilitators of EBF and the support they receive from their families and health professionals. Therefore, effective support from health personnel is essential to promote exclusive breastfeeding, allowing both mother and baby to enjoy the benefits associated with this practice.
