Item Satisfacción académica de los estudiantes de la carrera de Enfermería de la Universidad de Cuenca, 2017(2018) Orellana Riera, Kimberly Vanessa; Palma Quilli, Xiomara Gisselle; Sánchez Campoverde, Diana Esther; Arce Guerrero, Narcisa Eugenia CumandáBackground: student satisfaction reflects the efficiency of academic and administrative services. It is important to know that the students express their satisfaction with the learning units, with the interactions with their teacher and classmates, as well as with the facilities and equipment. Objective: to identify the academic satisfaction of the students of the Career of Nursing of the University of Cuenca during the period 2018. Method and material: quantitative research based on a descriptive, cross-sectional study, with an analysis of the satisfaction of the students of the Nursing Career. A universe made up of 270 students of the fifth, sixth cycle and internship, randomly selected; the sample was calculated according to the Stratified Probabilistic Sample method (Levine and Krehbiel, 2006) with a result of 216 students. The structured survey was applied. Results: the population was mainly female with 63%, with an average age of 22 years. The subject of Basic Nursing is considered to be 49.1%, as is the Clinical - Surgical with 46.8%, the Pediatric Nursing with 44% and the Obstetric Nursing in 62.5%. They are satisfied with the subject of Basic Nursing 65.3%, with the Surgical Clinic 57.4%, with the Pediatric Nursing 58.8% and 52.3% with the Obstetric Nursing. Conclusion: there is a relationship between student satisfaction and the level of importance that they give to professional subjects
