The canton Chordeleg has a productive matrix based on the production of handicrafts, which in their production processes generate pollutants that are emanating into the atmosphere; Therefore, it is necessary to prepare an inventory of fixed sources of air pollution through measurements of sedimentable particulate material and the estimation of combustion gases through emission factors with the objective of quantifying the pollutant load generated and determining the critical points of pollution in the canton The study analyzes 29 critical points regarding the generation of sedimentable particulate material, of which 12 exceed the maximum permissible limit stipulated in TULSMA, while 20 points exceed the standard established by the World Health Organization (WHO), point MP_A_8 being the highest generation in the entire study; On the other hand, the estimation of combustion gases was carried out at 14 critical points, determining that carbon monoxide is the pollutant generated in the highest percentage in relation to nitrogen dioxide and sulfur dioxide, both in general and in each of the points. In the cantonal center, the Terrestrial Terminal sector is the one that is mostly affected by the emissions of sedimentable particulate matter and the Chaurinzhin sector due to combustion gas emissions. The suggestions presented in the study should be analyzed by the competent authorities to determine the correct action on the subject.
