This degree work focuses on the design of an instructional methodological class for teaching use, using photographic narrative of festive contexts as a tool for the development of inclusive identity processes. A methodology is used that combines the application of a methodological class based on photographic narrative as a pedagogical tool, with theoretical foundations of active methods, flipped classroom and project development. The conceptual, narrative and phenomenological interpretative analysis of the impact of the proposed class reveals that, from the perspective of the students, popular festivities play a crucial role in the preservation and transmission of cultural identity. Photography, music, theater and video stand out as key means of capturing and disseminating these traditions, which reflect not only the customs embedded in society, but also the connections with religion and ancestors. Images and visual narratives are essential tools to experience and understand these celebrations, promoting a sense of belonging and identity with cultural roots

This study characterizes the organizational culture of the University of Cuenca, through the measurement of the four dimensions that make up this construct: involvement, consistency, adaptability, and mission. The methodology used is mixed, which includes the Denison Organizational Culture Survey questionnaire, applied to a representative sample of 66 teachers, 141 students, and 104 administrative staff; as well as interviews and focus groups applied to 17 teachers, 17 students, and 17 administrative staff randomly selected. The analysis is developed according to the model of values by competition of Cameron and Quinn. The results show that the cultural characterization of this University has an external orientation, with a structure of stability and control. The most outstanding feature is “mission”, which is manifested in the strength of goals, strategic objectives, and values that are shared by the members of this institution. The University has a good adaptation to changes that occur in the environment, and strong feelings of belonging and identity are perceived. Finally, the qualitative assessment suggests little integration in agreements and opinions, especially at the levels of academic management, which is evidenced in the weakest cultural dimension that is “consistency”. The obtained results hold significant importance for the University of Cuenca as they provide a unique diagnosis of its organizational culture and can contribute to enhanced integration in terms of agreements and opinions, particularly at the academic management levels, which is crucial for achieving institutional objectives.

This research analyzes critically the psychological currents of mentalism, behaviorism, and psychobiology, from the philosophical perspective of Mario Bunge's rational emergentism. The methodology used is the bibliographic documentary study. The research findings show that rational emergentism is made up of four principles: materialism, systemism, emergentism, and psychoneural monism. Mentalism comes from the dualisms of Plato and Descartes, and from the psychology of the faculties. The schools of psychology based in this current are structuralism and functionalism, as well as the approaches of Gestalt, computational psychology, and psychoanalysis. The epistemology of classical behaviorism is the immature realism, and its ontology is the limited naturalism. Neo-behaviorism introduces intermediate variables and hypotheses in the postulates of psychology, abandoning the E-R orthodoxy. Finally, psychobiology understands the brain functioning based on three hypotheses: psychosystemism, functional localizationism (weak), and psychoneural identity theory

(2025) Reyes Guaranda, Mauricio Esteban; Orellana Moscoso, Abrahan Felipe; Guartatanga Coronel, Jorge Luis
The objective of this article is to design an instructive methodological class for teachers, using photographic narratives of festive contexts as a tool to foster inclu-sive identity processes. The research problem centers on the need to implement innovative methodologies that enhance the sense of belonging in diverse educational settings. The methodolog y employed three methods for data analysis: conceptual analysis, which identified the meanings associated with festivities; phenomenological analysis, which explored partici-pants’ experiences with cultural traditions, and narrative analysis, which structured the visual and textual stories collected. From the impact analysis of the class, it is concluded that photographic narrative is an effective resource for strengthening the sense of belonging and promoting educational inclusion, according to students’ perceptions.

(2024) Reyes Guaranda, Mauricio Esteban; Orellana Moscoso, Abrahan Felipe
This work provides a review of the literature on the legal liability of individuals diagnosed with Antisocial Personality Disorder (APD). In recent years, the legal treatment of psychiatric disorders, including personality disorders, has been the subject of debate due to the complexities associated with accountability in legal contexts. To carry out the review and selection of relevant studies, the PRISMA model criteria were applied to various academic databases. The findings indicate the existence of neuroanatomical alterations that may compromise the volitional capacity of individuals with APD, manifesting in poor impulse control. However, several authors agree that, despite these alterations, these individuals remain fully aware of their actions and their possible consequences when committing a crime, so that the APD diagnosis would not, by itself, imply a justification for reducing their criminal liability. The need to continue advancing in theoretical and methodological development to define an appropriate legal approach in these cases is stressed.

(2024) Orellana Moscoso, Abrahan Felipe; Reyes Guaranda, Mauricio Esteban
This article presents a systematic review on the legal responsibility of individuals diagnosed with Antisocial Personality Disorder from2018 to2024. In recent years, a debate has been maintained on the legal treatment of psychiatric disorders, including personality disorders, due to the complexity in managing their imputability in the legal system. The PRISMA model criteria were used to review and select studies relevant to this objective in academic databases. The results show that there is evidence of alterations at the neuroanatomical level that mayaffect the volitional capacity of people with APD, resultingin poor impulse control. However, some authors agree that, despite these alterations, individuals with this diagnosis are fully aware of their actions and their consequences when committing a crime, so this diagnosis would not necessarily constitute a reason for mitigation oftheir imputability. This articlehighlights the importance of continuing to develop theory and evaluation methods to establish adequate legal treatment.
