Virtual Reality (VR) is an emerging technology that allows users to immerse themselves in a virtual world in a immersive way. Despite its potential, it has not yet been widely implemented in architecture due to the lack of architectural programs that are compatible with this technology. However, this is beginning to change with the release of the Unreal Engine 5, a game development tool that can also be used to create VR experiences in architecture. In this work, virtual reality is applied in a practice with architecture students at the University of Cuenca, where thanks to Unreal Engine 5, it offers a wide variety of tools and resources to create detailed and realis- tic virtual environments. Its use in architecture can help in the visualization of projects, space planning, and presentation of designs to clients and students. In addition, its ability to create immersive experiences can be used in the teaching of architecture to allow students to explore and experiment with designs interactively.
