    This monographic work called “Importance of the evaluation from a constructivist approach of and for the learnings in general basic education" it tries to show the relevancy of the evaluation in the educational process to achieve the development of significant learnings of the students and to reach a good quality in education. This work is a bibliographical compilation which analyze about the evaluation of teaching learning process, proposed guidelines to evaluate the Educational Ecuadorian System, and describe some evaluation instruments from a constructivist approach. In order to do this collection data process some books, articles, and web sites have been studied which have allowed answering the stated objectives and the questions of this investigation.
