    Prevalencia de los riesgos psicosociales y factores asociados en el personal médico del Hospital José Carrasco Arteaga del IESS, Cuenca, 2014

    Objective. To establish the prevalence of psychosocial risks and associated factors in the medical staff of the Hospital José Carrasco Arteaga IESS. Methodology. Is a quantitative study of prevalence and cross-section study. It was applied the form of the medium version of CoPsoQ-ISTAS21 (2) method on a sample of 170 doctors. For processing and tabulation of the data it was used the application program of the aforesaid CoPsoQ-ISTAS21 (2) method. And for data analysis were used measures of absolute and relative frequency. Results and conclusions. 55% of respondents are female, 68% are under 31 years, 46% work in clinical areas, and 73% holding a post as a medical resident, while 25% are treating physicians. There are not differences in result according to the sex of the respondents. The staff of the Surgery area and residents of post grade have a higher prevalence of physical, mental and emotional exhaustion, stress and disorders of mental health. The negative psychosocial dimensions that most affect to medical staff are: working rhythm, hide emotions demands, role conflict and insecurity about employment. The physical, mental and emotional exhaustion is the psychosocial risk that most affect to medical staff, with an average prevalence of 40%. The positive dimensions that are present with most prevalence in the medical staff are: possibilities for development, meaning of work, role clarity, sense of group, social support of superiors, recognition and vertical confidence. And 68% are at least satisfied in relation to their work, taking everything into consideration.
