The objective of this study was to determine the prevalence between ergonomic risk factors and musculoskeletal disorders in storage tasks at the Recycling Collection Centers of the City of Cuenca. A cross-sectional, observational, descriptive and cross-sectional study was carried out on all the workers at the “El Chorro” recycling collection center, the methodology included the identification, evaluation of ergonomic risk factors, application of the Kuorinka Nordic questionnaire and the Ergonomic evaluation using the methods REBA, OWAS, NIOSH Equation and Snook and Ciriello Tables. The data were analyzed using the SPSS program and to determine the relationship between the variables, the non-parametric Chi square statistical test was used. The results obtained show that workers have musculoskeletal discomfort due to ergonomic risk factors; the most affected parts being lumbar or dorsal, shoulders and neck; which allowed determining that there is a relationship between ergonomic risk factors and musculoskeletal disorders; In addition, with the application of the ergonomic evaluation methods it was evident that the classification activity in the current work mode presents an ergonomic risk level between high and very high, in the batch method the risk is between medium and high and In the selection band method the risk is medium
