(Universidad de Cuenca, 2021-04-21) Vimos Naranjo, Angela Verónica; Nivelo, Marco Antonio
This research was carried out in the Provincial Coordination of Benefits of the Azuay Health Insurance, with the aim of developing a proposal for the reduction of occupational risks identified in the Insurance process during 2019. The methodology focused on a cross-cutting descriptive study, initially identifying occupational hazards using tools such as the Occupational Risk Questionnaire, Psychosocial Risk Assessment Questionnaire, the REBA Method and William Fine in a total of 43 staff. It was established that there are mechanical risks focused primarily on difficulties due to lack of physical space, psychosocial risks at a low level 72% and a half 28% without exposing statistically significant differences in these risks between sub-processes evaluated. Analysis with the REBA Method showed that 65.1% of the population has average ergonomic risk and the Willam Fine Method that 66.6% of the risks are Very Serious. The proposal is based on component planning, 3 components are determined according to the 3 types of risk detected. The analysis of the current situation of the professionals in the department showed that, despite the efforts made, there are risks that must be comprehensively addressed through a plan that includes initial and continuous evaluations and improvement processes that give it sustainability.
