Item Modelo para priorizar adaptaciones de software alineadas a las estrategias de la organización(Universidad de Cuenca, 2022-05-20) Nero Ortega, Elizabeth Margarita; Zúñiga Prieto, Miguel ÁngelThe importance of technology today is based on how it strategically supports organizations, in such a way that a digital transformation can be carried out within each of them. The success of acquiring technology is that the company's strategy determines what technology is required, under what strategic objectives and what results are expected (Suarez Maldonado, 2020). In this way, the issue of aligning technology with the company's strategy gains strength. Organizations acquire market software solutions or implement adaptations to the software with the aim of improving their productivity according to their organizational strategy, but to ensure that the software is aligned with the strategy of their company and is available early, they must answer several questions, between them (Martinez, 2005): What are the business tasks that should be automated first considering the company's strategy? Although there are both value-based (Faulk et al., 2000) and goal-oriented (Herrera et al., 2017) software engineering techniques that help the analyst to reason about goals, identify conflicts between business tasks or select Among alternatives to attend to business tasks, these techniques do not completely resolve the aforementioned question, for which in the present work a process model is proposed that allows prioritizing software adaptations according to the value it contributes to the strategy of the company the implementation of each adaptation. The software adaptations in the present work represent the needs that users have to perform business tasks through software. The proposed model makes use of techniques: i) to represent the relationship between the needs of the users and the strategic objectives of the company, ii) for the standardization of the variables that must be considered to determine the value of satisfying each need, and iii) to quantitatively establish the value of meeting user needs. Finally, an example is presented that shows the applicability of the step-by-step process model, in the real case of a company; in which it is required to prioritize the needs of users based on the value it brings to the organizational strategy; to satisfy each of them.
