Evaluación de la eficiencia del ozonificador en el tratamiento de agua utilizada para consumo humano en la fundación María Amor de la parroquia Sayausí
(2016) Neira Neira, Mayra Diana; Padilla Vélez, Jhesica Tatiana; Larriva, Wilson Giovanny
ABSTRAC In the "Maria Amor" Sayausí Parish Foundation ozonation equipment is used for the disinfection process to obtain safe water. In this work, the evaluation of the efficiency of the ozonator was performed whose function is to decrease the bacterial load of water, for which the microbiological analysis which was conducted by determining the presence of total and faecal coliforms are used as indicators of health parameters of water quality. For the evaluation of the efficiency of the ozonator total and fecal coliforms was determined by the method of MPN (most probable number). 64 samples taken at the Mary Love Foundation, of which 32 correspond to piped water (before being ozonated) and 32 for the ozonated water with this equipment, they proceeded to perform microbiological analysis by the indicated method were analyzed, verifying compliance with the parameters established in the Ecuadorian legislation INEN 1108: 2014 regarding the microbiological quality of water. With the results of the reduction of microbial load efficiency of ozonation equipment established in the Mexican standard NOM-1809-SSA1-1998 we were evaluated. The results of the microbiological parameters descriptive and variance analysis with a significance level of 5%, in which it was determined that the efficiency values were below the established to fulfill a process of efficient ozonation was performed
