Proceso de transición educativa de Inicial II al Primero de Básica
(Universidad de Cuenca, 2023-08-30) Ferrer Alvarracin, Martha Fernanda; Neira Capa, Katherine Julissa; Delgado Granda, Ana Liliana
This monographic research investigates the process of educational transition of Initial II and First Basic Education. Emphasizing that an adequate transition favors the holistic development of children to the extent that this period is balanced and optimal. Therefore, the objective of this work was to determine the importance of an adequate educational transition between the Initial II and First Basic Education levels for the integral development of children. This monograph has a qualitative approach with a descriptive and exploratory scope on the two main categories: Educational Transition from Initial II to First Basic Education and Integral Development. Likewise, information was collected through 13 semi-structured interviews conducted with teachers of the two levels mentioned above in educational institutions of the city of Cuenca, both public and private. The results show that the educational transition is a process of change that children experience when interacting with an environment full of challenges and opportunities that affect their evolutionary development and academic performance. Another result shows that teachers have knowledge about the transition period, however, in educational practice the actions for this stage are limited and do not address all dimensions of infant development.
